Relationships is a big focus of the New Message. It places a very high value on the quality and the meaning of our relationships and what we’re learning there. It places such a high quality that it says the majority of our authentic learning is happening within the realm of relationships, that within ourselves, with ourselves, we can only do so much, for we cannot see ourselves totally or clearly. We’re blind to many aspects of ourselves that others might be able to see.
And beyond that, what people are doing in relationships, for better or worse, is a complete demonstration to us—if we can see this clearly without judgment and condemnation—what it is teaching us about the value of Knowledge, the wisdom that it is giving us both through the demonstration of error and through the demonstration of inspiration. So we have the whole world to teach us about the value and meaning of relationships if we have the eyes to see and the willingness to look.
